Next weekend, Son2, DIL and Granddaughter "A" will be visiting before they move away to Italy for 4 years. "A" is 3 1/2, but she will undoubtedly start losing her baby teeth while away. So Grammom (me!) made a little tooth fairy pillow for her parents to take on their journey.
I drew the pattern myself and the top curves are a little jagged, but then, teeth are not perfectly rounded, right?!
I did not want to stuff her too tightly as it might hinder the Tooth Fairy's ability to get little teeth out of the pocket. The pocket material is a leftover piece from the quilt I made for her when she was born. The pocket looks a bit large but you never know what wonderful treasures the tooth fairy may leave!
I am an absolute amatuer when it comes to embroidery so the little smile is a bit primitive and I was not successful in hiding my ending knot! LOL
The eyes were purchased from Kutz on etsy, here - http://www.etsy.com/shop/kutz?ga_search_query=kutz&ga_search_type=seller_usernames (sorry-not sure how to add a link!)
Anyway, almost finished with my other project for Little Miss A......more about that later. It was a busy weekend!

It's absolutely adorable! I love the eyes. And the smile charming!
This is wonderful :-) My first grader just lost her third tooth, and something like this would be wonderful ... the tooth fairy has a hard time with the whole "finding a tiny tooth wrapped in a plastic baggie under the pillow" thing ...
