I finished the heart for my friend's birthday....I made this one a little different then the heart I made for sweet Holly. I started with a wonky pieced square and cut out the heart. (The back is solid) I then used a few decorative stitches with my new machine. (Love that machine!)
Some of the fabric scraps are left over from the hand made piece that you can see to the right - in my side bar. They are very old! The pearls are left over from pearls that I hand stitched onto my wedding dress almost 20 years ago! (apparently I never throw anything away!)
Here she is with her little heart. It made her cry! She is a very dear friend. She helps me get over many hurtles and stressful times at work and is a wonderfully supportive friend. I feel very lucky to call her my friend.
Happy Birthday Tammy!

The heart is a cute idea -- a quick one for a friend, that would still mean so much.. thanks for the idea. Have a great day
Awwwwww-she cried!
What a beautiful and special gift. :)
I love that you used pearls that you purchased for your wedding dress. It makes that much more personal and meaningful!
